Opportunity to Join London Youth Advisory Council

This is an important notice from the London Youth Advisory Council.
If you’re between 15-25 years old, you can apply to be a part of the 2015-2016 youth council. Sometimes people think that you need to be ‘political’ to run for the LYAC. That isn’t true, we’ll help you every step of the way and there is absolutely NO experience required!

Here is all the information that you’ll need:
1. Application Form – DUE on March 15th
2. LYAC Councillor Job Description
3. General Elections Information

If you aren’t old enough to run (or are older than 25), you can still help us out by asking a young person to run! Research shows that people have to be encouraged 3-7 times before agreeing to run for political office, so add your voice and get a young person involved in the LYAC!

To find out more about what it’s like to be an LYAC Councillor, check out this video of the 2014/15 Councillors talking about their experience this year:

You’re always welcome to contact us at elections@lyac.ca or 226-271-1189 if you have questions.
